Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CiteCrawl ("the Service"), operated by CiteCrawl Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CiteCrawl provides automated GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) audit services. The Service analyses publicly accessible websites across multiple signals and generates an AI Answer Readiness Score along with a detailed PDF report containing findings and recommendations.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Audit results represent an automated analysis at a point in time and should not be considered professional advice. Scores may vary between audits due to factors such as server response times, content changes, and third-party API availability.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Plans and Pricing

The Service offers the following plan types:

  • Single Audit — A one-time purchase for a single website audit. No recurring charges.
  • Quarterly Plan — A recurring subscription that renews automatically every 90 days at the then-current price. Includes a set number of audits per billing cycle.
  • Pro Plan — A recurring monthly subscription at the then-current price. Includes up to 50 audits per calendar month and access to premium features.

All prices are displayed in US dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. VAT, GST, or sales tax will be calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method.

5. Subscription Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Quarterly or Pro subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by emailing us at Team@CiteCrawl.com.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to the Service until that date.
  • No prorated refunds are issued for unused time remaining in a billing period.
  • Any unused audit credits do not carry over after cancellation and are forfeited at the end of the billing period.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when your cancellation has been processed.
  • Audit reports generated prior to cancellation remain accessible for download for 12 months from the date of generation, subject to our data retention policy.

Reactivation: If you cancel and later wish to resubscribe, you may do so at the then-current price. Previous audit credits or billing periods will not be restored.

6. Refund Policy

Because audit reports are delivered instantly as digital content, we do not offer refunds once an audit has been generated and delivered.

  • Single Audits: No refunds once the audit report has been delivered.
  • Subscriptions: No prorated refunds are issued upon cancellation. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Technical failures: If a technical issue prevents your audit from completing, we will either resolve the issue and deliver your report or issue a full refund at our discretion.

7. Promotional Codes

We may issue promotional discount codes from time to time. The following terms apply to all promotional codes unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotional codes are non-transferable and intended for the original recipient only.
  • Each code is single-use unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Codes cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discounts.
  • Codes have an expiration date after which they are no longer valid.
  • We reserve the right to revoke or modify any promotional code at any time without notice.
  • If a refund is issued on an order where a promotional code was applied, the refund amount will reflect the discounted price actually paid.
  • Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for currency.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to audit websites you do not own or have authorisation to audit
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the audit methodology or scoring algorithms
  • Use automated tools to submit bulk audit requests beyond normal usage
  • Share, resell, or redistribute audit reports without our written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service to audit websites containing illegal content

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its audit methodology, scoring framework, report templates, and all associated content, is the intellectual property of CiteCrawl Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use your audit reports for your own internal business purposes, including sharing reports with your employees and clients for the purpose of implementing recommendations.

You may not republish, redistribute, or extract report content for resale, competitive analysis products, or any commercial purpose beyond your own business use.

You retain ownership of your website content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to access and analyse your publicly available web content for the purpose of generating your audit report.

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable and continuous service but make no uptime guarantee. The Service depends on third-party APIs and infrastructure providers. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to third-party service failures, internet outages, natural disasters, cyber attacks, or government actions (force majeure).

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CiteCrawl Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that implementing our recommendations will result in specific improvements to your AI search visibility, as AI search engines are operated by third parties and their algorithms are subject to change.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice before suspension or termination.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at Team@CiteCrawl.com. Upon termination, your access will be revoked and stored audit reports will be deleted within 30 days unless you request an export. Active subscription fees paid for unused periods will not be refunded.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good faith negotiation for a period of 30 days from the date of written notice. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be escalated to the courts as set out below.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
